In 2422 humans forcefully evolved beyond their prior limitations in order to adapt to the downward turn in a solar system wide ice-age. Our world suffered tremendously as mankind went about feebly attempting to prop up our World's temperature with upper atmospheric released particles that would create a sponge like effect with the UV light from the sun. When the outside temperatures reach below negative thirty centigrade the need for a Personal Protective Transportation Unit (PPTU) was commissioned by all governments under the law of providing basic needs for their populace.

The PPTUs were intravenously hardwired to our central nervous systems allowing us the freedom of outdoor survivability by sacrificing the ability to detach the PPTU. Once connected they are a part of you as much as you would be a part of it. In the advent of ensuring a one hundred percent survival rate for the human race the PPTUs were mandated for all people under the age of 60. Older populations were delegated to a classification that waived their eligibility for a PPTU. Costs for the suit were high, and the strain on elderly nervous systems did not make it a feasible option for the old to own nor wear one.

Four years after the first PPTUs were being outfitted for the best suited candidates, the global temperature had reached an annual mean of minus forty-eight centigrade, and had begun to compromise our climate control systems that regulated our air sealed cities and towns. All humans were now being forcefully intertwined with PPTUs without their discretion. The runners remained rampant and the crackdowns were efficient. I got netted, we all did. It was hard to always be running. I didn't want nor ask for my PPTU, but here I am telling you this from behind my mask. Will there ever be a day when we can shed our shells and birth again as we were originally meant to? I sure as hell hope so.
